Update Stenowise
Applies to: Windows, macOS, Linux
Stenowise checks for a new version on start and tells you when it finds one. Stenowise downloads an update only after you agree.
Install an update
When Stenowise finds a new version, the notice “Version X available” appears.
- Click “Open settings” in the notice. The About tab opens.
- Read under “New in this version” what has changed.
- Click “Download and install”.
While downloading, Stenowise shows the progress as “Downloading, X%”. Stenowise restarts after the installation.
Check for updates manually
- Open Settings › About and click “Check now” next to “Check for updates”.
- Click “Check for updates” in the icon's menu. The result appears as a notice. You install the update in the About tab.
The check on start
“Check for updates on start” under Settings › About is on by default. If you switch it off, Stenowise checks only when you start the check yourself.
